Before you plan out your holidays and wonder is the stock market closed today? Take a look at the NYSE holiday schedule for 2019. The stock market hours for the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) are 9:30 pm to 4 pm EST Monday to Friday. NYSE after-hours for trading is 4:00 pm to 6 pm

 

The following schedule indicates when the market is closed announced by the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) group.

When will the stock market be closed?

 

NYSE will be officially closed on New Year’s Eve, Martin Luther King Day, Jr., President’s Day, Good Friday, Labor Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.

The day before Independence Day and a day after Thanksgiving is not an official holiday the market has a tradition of closing at 1 pm. The stock market will close at 1 pm on Christmas Eve.

 

When will the stock market be open?

 

NYSE will be open on regular days except holidays mentioned above and emergency crisis like a technical failure, natural disaster or during a war.

 

Will the stock market be closed on President’s Day?

 

Yes, the stock market will be closed on President’s Day.

 

Will the stock market be closed on Good Friday?

 

Yes, the stock market will be closed on Good Friday.

 

Will the stock market be closed on Memorial Day?
